out of curiousity, what would one even want them old ass files for? use the latest files.without the latest files you wont be able to play any games that require a dashboard past 12611. dash it currently has on it is irelevant,if thats what your asking for. if dash is 12611 you simply dump nand, create ecc and write it to xbox nand, then wire it up for rgh1,get cpu key, then build a 17502 (i think is latest dash) and write that to it,job done.also if your thinking you can "downgrade" your dash to make it an rgh when its on a dash that will require rgh2,wrong again,so really theres no use for older dash files like that tbh.

No. Do not update your dash on retail. Leave it as it is.
U will however build a hacked image for 17502.
There is a jrunner download for 17511 dash.
But either dash will be fine.

You are exploiting the current version of your dash (12611) with RGH (1). Once done, you can build a freeboot image of any dash version you want. The logical thing to do would be to build the latest dash. I think that's what you're asking? You RGH by following instructions, and when you go to "build nand image" you select which dash you want (this is where you would select 17511).
