I did google for about a half hour actually, and couldn't find any pictures depicting what i was saying.

do you have a phat you using. reason why I say phat I always clean the paste on some phats that has orginal ms paste on wild guess but they go for it money that way and charge customer. ok I see I do the one with the dvd drive. would you like that one. lots of solder and using extra wires to make it longer. but the better one is the smc settings

now the slim I cut the blue wire and it works. the phat I do different. dvd drive. I have a picture of the set up on the bottom got to find it

I don't like to connect to the dvd drive for anything on a stock console, but thats just me.

they want you to use the smc setting because its better but I done a lot of phats with the dvd drive mod. you get a lot of consoles from game stop you will see that dvd mod. now martin will give you in detail the different he said on a post awhile back.
on a Xenon the gpu fan always runs faster than the cpu fan, when the console gets hot the gpu fan is the only one that speeds up on a Xenon, if you want both fans to speed up and help cool it you can do this mod to make equal fan speed before you do the 12v mod.
This mod still allows you to adjust the fan speed in fsd for jtags, it just makes the cpu fan spin at whatever speed the gpu fan speed is.
I can't remember where I found this pic but I can verify that it works and credit goes to whoever found the mod.
