hi i have been running a falcon jtag for a few months now, fine exept for getting a rrod the other day repaired fine was working.
i decided to put a new fan in found a small 12v fan looked on web for points to use and decided on the points strait under the power connecter, worked fine for few hours saw about a 3 degree temp loss was just loadng some acb then.. bang the xbox goes rrod fans stop everything so i took it all apart and it seems the 12v had shotred.
so i took the fan off cleened the point and tried it again puff of smoke n a small flame then rrod red light on power supply same as before .
so i tried to clean it all up removing as much solder as i could re soldering and trying again same thing
now am at the stage where it dosent smoke or flame jus rrod with red on psu any help would be much appreciated

First, undo everything you done to wire up the fan including any connectors or soldering you done. You need to get the console back to life again.

As for wiring an additional fan, try one of the following:

1. wire fan to a different point
2. try a different fan
3. wire a fan with protection/regulator circuit, custom or buy a ready made one
4. use an external power supply for the extra fan
