LITEON 74850 13146 to 13599 Flash Error

I pulled the key from the drive and updated the firmware to LTPlus-25v1.91.

I then having realised that the dashboard was on 13146 updated to 13599 via CD. (without returning to stock first, my bad)

Im assuming the drive has now been returned to stock, but it will not play originals either?

The drive does sound like its searching fo the discs so I guess the laser could have died during the flashing process aswell.

For testing purposes, what stock firmware should I now be on to play originals while on the 13599 dashboard?

for a phat lite-on it would be this 'orig-02510C-1c000.bin' for stock

are you sure you had the right key, not coming up as 'Play DVD'

I flashed it back to the stock mentioned above but it's only playing DVD's and when I put in originals I get the "Put disc in Xbox 360 Console Screen"

This means the keys not right I guess??

that sounds correct - key may be incorrect - do u have a log we can see?

also - the 13599 update does not flash your drive - the 13146 update did that

yes - you will need your key in there with that firmware

Ok I updated the firmware to LTPlus-25v1.91 (double checked the Lite_CFW.bin file)

The drive plays originals fine but its cannot read the backups. It sounds like its trying to but just fails.

Is the laser on the way out?

well - if u successfully flashed the CFW then I would say yes......triple check the 1.91 fw is on there again, if so, you could try a POT tweak or replace the laser.
try burning on verbatim discs if u have any and have not already tried

Most likely you are using cheap media....

But it could also be a weakened laser because it is struggling to read backups

I had to use Dosflash because Jungleflasher kept freezing but I loaded the Lite_CFW.bin from the usb stick into Jungleflasher to confirm it was the 1.91 firmware.

I replace the laser and it is doing the same thing. I got a "disc unreadable" for 1 but the other 2 I tried were just open tray

Yeah just on the backups. I thought the same but I double checked the firmware. I'll triple check it now in a minute

you've flashed the wrong CFW on there - should be LTPlus-025v1.91.bin

you've just made it a slim drive

you should be useing LTPlus-025v1.91 and not LTPlus-0225-v1.91.bin

i also update to jf 1.87

plus put all cfw into the firmware folder of jungleflasher.so it will auto load the right cfw.
