thanks so much martin, and everyone else, its booted up into 14699Looks ok - try flashing back to the console with rawflash.
there already is in the JTAG section, its been stickied foreverSomeone really need to do a tut on the correct steps to update an already flashed\glitched system.
Or maybe just update it to be more specific to RGH and this update, and sticky it here. When I RGH'd I didn't do anything with coolshrimps tool or freeboot, some simple steps are needed. Do you:Oh, I rarely look on that section, Thanks, Prob a good idea to do with a sticky on this section or at least a link for lazy gits like me![]()
With Xecuters there's always a happy ending !!Love those happy endings!!
???Or maybe just update it to be more specific to RGH and this update, and sticky it here. When I RGH'd I didn't do anything with coolshrimps tool or freeboot, some simple steps are needed. Do you:
1) Flash original nand dump
2) Install official update
3) Use 360 Multi Builder 0.5 to create your new flash
4) Flash with rawflash v3
Is that the long and short of it? Is there a worry about fuses or CB update on phat models (jasper)?
What good does that do? If you don't know okay, if you need a clarifying question ask it.
dont worry bout them, they're just post boosting !!!What good does that do? If you don't know okay, if you need a clarifying question ask it.
I'll assume you didn't understand what I was trying to clarify myself which is this:
What are the EXACT steps one must take in order to go from the last dash (successfully glitched with RGH, everything working fine) to this NEW one?
While an RGH console does all the same things a JTAG console will, I see too often a blurring of the two methods. This TUT people keep throwing around is outdated, is JTAG-specific and involves freeboot, something with which I have had nothing to do.
I was merely suggesting that someone could modify said tut to be more RGH-specific, and sticky it to the RGH sub-forum.
Does that clarify things for you???
Not trying to be snide but if you're going to go to all the trouble to respond to someone, type more than three characters.
Edit: It looks like what I've been asking was right is what people have been doing; jumping the shark and flashing back to orig nand, installing official update, then flashing new nand image built with 360 multi-builder and having issues (or worse, installing official update from glitched dash) when what it looks like is needed is:
1) Flash new nand image created with 360 multi builder with rawflash v3 (or whatever you want to use)
2) add extra $ to systemupdate to install over USB - which actually just installs new avatar data
If it was THIS simple, it got lost in all the threads by someone who f**ked up and did it wrong
That's why it's SO important to ASK!
That's what I was sort of trying to say, Thanks for clarifyingWhat good does that do? If you don't know okay, if you need a clarifying question ask it.
