It's been mentioned numerous times that the new dashboards now have to connect to live to obtain game icons for the metro dashboard.

Is there a way that the people writing the newer j-runner dash releases can put it back to the old method on the metro dash, so they are stored locally? Or at least allow it to connect to port 80 and get them from somewhere else?

Any idea's other than the usual "use freestyle dash" responses would be much appreciated.

great insightful response there martin.

I mean what does J-runner actually do if nobody is re-coding dashboards exactly?

You're very welcome :)

J-Runner is a tool for building NAND images, read/write to a DemoN, flash coolrunners, write sounds to slim consoles via sonus etc. Read the documentation - it's quite comprehensive.

Let me know if you need help on opening a PDF.

Ring microsoft and complain to them...it's their dash you have the problem with
Ask them to change it back ..no one else can change THEIR dash...
Or just use the alternative...fsd ...easier
Oh sorry ..you didnt want that response

Oh no, that won't do at all.

It's up to us to provide a solution for the OP which involves rewriting the stock dashboard to suit him, especially when there's a substandard FSD out there with LiNK capability and a host of other features.....
