Are the 16d5s motherboards interchangeable for instance I have a 1175 drive and a 1532 drive here the 1532 was a board only that I received with an xbox that I purchased and I am wondering if I can just solder the 1532 board to the 1175 drive and it work?

Ok with that being said I did solder that 1532 board on my 1175 because the 1532 had the correct drive key. But now the power light on the ROL just flashes. Then when I push eject tray it opens for a second then closes again then just keeps opening and closing. Not sure what is going on.

You wont be able to use anything but the original PCB or a LTU V1/V2 PCB unless you run RGH and have patched your nand with the dvd-key from the drive PCB and uses the nofcrt patch option.

Right that is what I figured but every since I put this original d5s board on another d5s it is opening and closing on its own and it is making the power light on the rol to just flash like there is no drive in the xbox.
EDIT: Never mind I got it working there was some flux that was around the pads and completing the circuit between open and close that is why it just kept doing both.
