Hello..

I've done quite a few fat & slim 360 RGHs in the last week, but this 16mb jasper is kicking my ass for the past 3 days.. :facepalm:

THINGS I'VE DONE SO FAR :

dump nand 3 times - match - CB 6750 - no bad block of errors
programmed CR b4 wiring (switches in PHAT & NOR mode) - program successful
generate ECC using 360 multi-builder 0.3
flash ECC using +w16 command
grab CPU key from xell and generate freeboot 13604 image + dashlaunch 2.26 using dulti-builder 0.3
flashed freeboot image via xell - successful

* route my wiring so its away from the coils
* used a 680pf cap - soldered to pad A & GND of CR
* used alternate 3.3v (switched)
* re-flashed nand few times using USB nand flasher and xell
* used a 2nd CR just to make sure it wasn't the CR chip

here are my wiring pics as i'm sure it will be asked for :biggrin:

the problem is this jasper's boot time is very unpredictable .. rarely will it boot in under 30 seconds.. often it will boot anywhere from 8-15 minutes if it boots at all :crazy:

CR green light flashing (as it will eventually boot into freeboot) but with every flash of the green light, the fan speed goes up a bit.. once it has booted, the fan speed slowly goes back to normal .. whats up with that ??

what can be the problem ?? any help would be greatly appreciated

can't find any 68nf caps at any of the local stores .. had a few 1500pf caps laying around so I soldered them in parallel to equal about 7000pf .. console boots everytime within 20 seconds :biggrin:

gonna order some 0.068uf surface mount ceramic caps and solder them in between pad A & GND .. see what kinda boot times that will give me

so yeah.. thanks for the help
