i looked high and low and i havent been able to figure this out. i installed my x3 (and yes i double checked the soldering joints and they are $$$$) and i start the B up (on on off off off) and i get the lovely blue light and the blue bios screen showing FLASHBIOS 3.0.1. I flash HTTP with 1959 from the downloads here (the http page says 3.0.0) .. everything looks fine, it flashes (happy yellow and green bars) and shuts off. i boot it back up and im right where i left off :) any idears? i read something about someone saying they needs a plus version of 1959? or something .. idk!

thanks in advance

ok you need the 1959v16 bios if you have new 1.6 motherboard or you need to use the 1959 bios if you have a v1.0 to 1.5. When you flashed it did you rename the bios to bios.bin.

Re: play dvd error xbox 360

if it is the original dvd drive from that xbox 360, your dvd drive has just worn out

this has happened to me with a hitachi drive before

i would suggest buying a drive of the same model from ebay and switching the green pcb boards of the drives

if it is not the original dvd drive from the xbox, you are screwed and that xbox will never play games again unless you JTAG hack an exploitable kernel
