Hi,
Just been on xbins to get 1959v1.6+ but there is only 1959.rar, am i looking in the wrong place?

The file name is X3_1959.rar but it should include the 1.6 bios in there

Opened Xbox now Drive opens after closing?

Okay so i thought i had a benq drive (the disc tray is very deceiving and i swear the wires were white) so today i got the things i needed and opened up the xbox. i plugged the sata cable into my pc but i couldnt find the drive (i tried the half way open to try get it to work but it wouldnt eject when i pressed the button so i couldn't do it.)

now when i looked i saw the Phillips & lite on corporation and the wires are yellow i had to pull them out and check with the torch.

I gave up and put my xbox back together (i never changed anything in jungle flasher) all the screws etc and cables in and i turned it on, drive pops open so i close it, and then it opens up straight away, i think when i tryed messing with the drive i might have messed something up like the gears since i tried the emergency eject to open it.

when it does open though i cant push it abit and it will go on its own so i think it might be jammed.

Anyone have any solutions?

open the drive and look around. make sure everyhing looks ok. its just 4 phillips screws on the bottom, dont be intimidated its pretty straight forward.

thanks ill take a look around since i was doing some poking with pin looking for an eject might of done something wrong.

i have it open is there anything to look out for and is there a way to pull out the disk tray while i have it open ?

were you using the xbox to power the drive and did you ground the xbox to your computer case, i had a friend try to flash his drive and didnt ground it to his computer, the exact same thing happened to him, it wasnt a problem with the drive and i tried litterally everything to fix it and couldnt, as far as i could work out the xbox was hit with a surge and must have damaged something on the motherboard, there was no way to fix it and i tried litterally everything, sorry but you may have broken your xbox

Make sure the dvd power cable is plugged in all the way. If it still doesn't work, get a new dvd power cable. $1 on ebay. That's my guess.

Its fine now i opened it up again and the cable into the mother board was a abit lose the cable is hard to get in properly but its working fine now.
