Is the microSD switch set to X360? Have you tried without HDD again?

It sounds like either a corrupt retail NAND or errors while writing.

Check the NAND RW QSB solder/wiring. If you can, install it to the board or shorten the wires between the Xbox and NAND RW QSB.

Ive had this happen woth a 4gb console and it was false..sayed it was overheating and it wasnt..ended up being something corky with the nand. I used jrunner to erase the entire nand, then flashed a new image and it was gone..no idea why it worked but it did :)

You're fine, only use the identical ones though.

The basic rundown:

1. Dump retail NAND multiple times & compare. If they're identical move on to the next step. If they're different, check NAND wiring and dump until you have duplicates.

2. Create ECC from your retail NAND dump.

3. Write ECC to NAND. Unplug power from Xbox for 30-60 seconds. Reconnect power and boot Xell with DVD eject. (CPU Key retrieval)

4. Build new NAND in J-runner using your retail NAND dump & CPU Key.

5. Write the RGH NAND to the Xbox & disconnect power for 30-60 seconds.

6. Boot normally.

Again, this is just a basic outline.

You will also have to play with post out & cpu_rst wire lengths (tuning the Coolrunner). Go back to the beginning of this thread and read thoroughly.

Note: The Coolrunner itself must be programmed with the correct timing files.

Did you get save your CPU key? If you did, I would go ahead and create the Freeboot image using autogg newest version with glitch2m ticked, might solve your issue here. Also, is r1r1 removed?

I know this is usually the case for the v6 and is easily fixed with autogg
