Had some lower quality pics of my xbox on XS -

A mate bought it from me and wanted it done white.

It's a 1.3 with an Xecuter 2.6 / Pinheader install / 120GB Maxtor HDD locked / Blue eject pcb leds / Home made 8 blue Led ring under factory cleared jewel / Switches on the back to controll fan voltage and jewel lighting / Roughly 6/8 coats of high gloss white enamel with 2 coats of crystal clear - Gives it an amazing shine!

Let me be the first to say it - nice job :)

Agree with the finish 100% - lovely shine to it. The white/blue is a good combination. Not too fussy either, just looks sharp :) Gets 5/5 from me :D

I have a lot of experience painting many types of plastics.

The xbox was sanded once with fine grade sandpaper - Then it was painted with a basecoat - This coat is then allowed to dry and is sanded again.

When you are happy with how smooth the xbox plastic is - Apply the paint.

I use a high gloss chemical base enamel to paint plastics - as it dries rock solid and has a very good shine.

This particular xbox has roughly 6 coats of white ( 2 cans ) - and 2 coats of clear.

I only use clear when I want a super shiny surface.

If you use paint like Krylon fusion - this paint bonds to plastic very well - but does not dry as hard as a chemical based enamel - and it has virtually no gloss at all.

Clear coating when using Krylon fusion is the only way to get a glossy finish - But it will look nothing like an enamel painted plastic.

Basically - Get something that is plastic - and sand it back and paint it with various techniques - This is a great way to learn, and you will discover better painting techniques along the way.
