Well last night I finally completed and glitched my first Xbox 360.

Firstly thought I should say, how are so many people getting this wrong. I am no electronics technician and I have the basic soldering skills of a 12 year old (probably why it didnt go exactly to plan) and I have managed it.

Martin C often states that he will not hold your hand through the RGH process and the balls ups are your own fault, however, Martin with all the tutorials, feedback and help you and the fellow members of this website have put together, you pretty much do hold our hands all the way to the end.

Not a chance I would have attempted this process had you and the Team Xecuter website, with all its useful members, not been as informative as you are.

I know I have blabbed on and many people reading this will feel quite ill and think Im brown nosing but all I am trying to do is give credit where credit is due.

Thanks for reading

PS Big shout out to krypt1c who has been very supportive.

Congrats, and here's a tip as far as soldering skills..instant way to improve 'em: use more flux. It's not a substitute for skill but it helps if your hands aren't the steadiest or you don't have the best tools. Heck I got a $200 soldering station and surgeon's hands and I still overdose on the flux..makes life easier.

Haha cheers Lonewolf. The problem I mention, i dont think, was totally soldering related. The armored cable that is supplied with the REv C's pulled away from the CPU_RST because I didnt take in to account its stiffness. So it soldered in fine but I hadnt pre bent the cable which is why t pulled away. We live and learn

B4k3y I completely agree that the members on here do help, alot. I get tired of people asking the same questions and then getting upset when they are flamed for it.

I'd like to think that I havent asked daft questions and it proves that all your questions are answered here. The problem seems to arise when they find what they need but dont understand whats its saying, which means they need to read up even more.

Everything you need to know about RGH installs such as wiring diagrams, troubleshooting (alternate points) etc is covered here on the forum :).

Sorry for the poor quality but I couldnt get my camera to work so resorted to taking them with my rubbish phone camera.

Like I said previously the armored cable pull that point off so I had to use the alternate point and the 50cm blue wire.

I was very dubious as to whether or not it would glitch but it did and FSD installed also.
If I can Ill put a video of it glitching. Boot time is pretty poor but havent actually timed it yet.

A little electrical tape for the low loss cable will usually prevent it from pulling away :)

I've also seen worse soldering from more "experienced" peeps haha, not too shabby.
