Hi all, I have reasonable experience of RGHing having done several phats and a few slims before, now i am trying to recover the dvd key from a xenon but im having trouble making it boot into xell. I used the latest j runner to create the ecc and flashed it to the nand so i dont think thats the problem. I am using a coolrunner rev A, my first question is does the recommended 220pf capacitor connect to the ground and CPURST the same way the 47nf capacitor connects to the ground and pll_bypass pads, so there would be 2 capacitors joining to the ground pad on the coolrunner? I have also tried just using a 67nf capacitor between ground and bypass but this again didnt glitch. Ill post some pics of my soldering and the layout of the wires on the underside when i find my camera. I read someone used a 50cm wire for the cpurst wire so I tried this aswell, wiring it along the edge of the motherboard but again no success. Any help would be great, ive been playing around with this xenon for ages!

Looks like you're running CPU_RST (or whatever the blue wire is, never used the provided wiring before) right between a pair of inductors on the bottom of the board. Try routing it straight past where the first bend you have is, then back diagonally alongside the x-clamp to get to the reset pad. Worth a shot at least. Also may just be the angle of your photo but the end of the orange wire looks to be touching two points?

also to note your blue wire is top of a mosfet that doesn't help as well

I cheated today got the key of a xenon used some cable left over from when virgin (cable sat in uk for our foreign friends out there) was found in the back of my cupboard. But remember xenons and zephyrs make good frisbies lol when you get really p...sed off
