Go to Ebay and buy original 9504 PCB without dash update (unlocked)
£49 for 9504 pcb, console is worth £80 think i'll ebay it as tx pcb cost me £38 i can use that in my other slim.
i only paid £80 for console with controller and psu and hdmi lead, forza 3 an res evil 6 months ago. unless its rgh able then im not gona bother. thanks all

how did you do the update backup game update , original game update, usb update, ?
if you used a backup game flash the tx pcb to lt2.0 and use the same disc to do the update you might have to set the tx pcb to unlocked then lock it after or set it to locked and update ,if that doesnt work , ,,,scream:eek2:

if M$ attempt to a lock a TX PCB it will fail EVERY time - it can;t be done - that's why so many 9504 users had problems updating the dash with there TX PCB to 13599

the only thing that is getting to me, is my orig drive pcb was spi locked during the failed update. so how can the update try to lock the already locked tx pcb?
if i want to try with tx pcb do i leave it unlocked in jf and leave it on wp1
ive nothing to loose but time

I was only responding to the post above mine - if the update locked your PCB it wont attempt it on the TX PCB
so it could be something else? possibly.
i remember trying to update,
1/ it failed.
2/ i took drive out to revert to stock firmware but it was locked.
3/ i killed pcb with kamakazee
4/ i flashed ofw 0272 to tx pcb locked it in jf and switch to wp0
did i do it right?

i think you missed the part where you bought a lite-on slim pcb then flashed it with your original firmware, left it unlocked, then updated
