Ok i tested it! all works perfect

Updated to 6.2 OFW in the original way
Updated to 6.2 CFW SDEMUNAND with ChoidejournNX without the autorcm enabled i turned it of since both firmwares are matching.

Both ofw and cfw now on 6.2 and working PERFECT.. THX TEAM TX!

I kept my OFW on 5.0.1.
Emunand updated by ChoiDjourNX (AutoRCM disabled).

hi, i am in OFW 5.1 and emunand too., so you can update emunand using ChoiDjourNX and (AutoRCM disabled) ? but that doesn't burn efuses? doesn't it need to be allways in AutoRCM ON?

If fues were be burnt, I wouldn't run my stock 5.1.0, right?

Just checked my fuses status - still 6 fuses burnt so it is normal for 5.X OFW :)

As long as you do not upgrade your OFW sysnand it will not burn any fuses. Make sure you are booted to CFW emunand before updating.

Hi guys. Not working here. This is my first time using SXOS. My console was in 6.2 when I got it. I have both the license and the new 2.4 beta boot in the in SD card (that was properly updated by the console). I am able to get into the SXOS main screen and I have disabled AutoRCM. Once I choose CFW it reboots, (as it should right?), and I get this error once I hit the album icon. Not sure if I am doing something wrong or if it is not working for me. Sharing it since it might be useful for the team... Any ideas?

If you don't have any games that require 6.2 I don't see a reason to upgrade. You could just upgrade your emunand and keep your sysnand on 6.1 though if you are using emunand.

A similar (but noobish) question:

I'm on firmware 4.0.1 and i want to update the Switch so i can have exFAT support and to play newer games. In order to do that, should i update the SX OS first and then update the Switch online via the Nintendo servers to 6.2? In this case, should i boot CFW or OFW in order to try to update the firmware?

Thanks for the attention!

The answer really depends on if you care about burning your fuses. Some people do some people dont. Noone really knows what mods or hacks will come out that may require a lower firmware. What you can do it use at least SX2.3 and enable emunand on your SD card. If you decide to use SX2.4 you have 2 other options, but I think those are just personal preference for emunand. Once you have that setup, you can boot the console to emunand CFW and update just the emunand to 6.1 or 6.2 if you use SX2.4 with ChoijudourNX. This will give you the option to install the exfat driver as well. This also allows you to upgrade offline and using emunand will keep your official firmware at 4.0.1. Firs thing to do before any of this would be to make a fresh full nand backup.

If i don't care about burning fuses, can i boot OFW and update the Switch via the Nintendo servers? As a newbie, i'm afraid to use ChoijudourNX.
