I just got my system in and I've been doing some research for a while now on this, but I can't really find a definitive answer to what I'm trying to understand about this whole thing.
I know I can upgrade the internal HDD to a laptop hard drive, and I've gone so far as to purchase a drive and insert it into my system. When I switched it on it read the drive as "unformatted."
So I wanted to know, is that all I have to do or do I format via the xbox? And if I do, will the entire 1tb be used? Or will only 32gb or something less than what the drive actually is be used as a result of formatting it?
Every time I look this stuff up I get two different ends of the spectrum. The videos are some good examples of what I'm talking about. Both on the same subject, but vastly different information. The one by Modded Warfare just says to slap the thing in and BOOM it works. The other says to format it and use like three different programs to get it to work, but it'll only get you up to 350gb.

So what's right here?
Thanks
