This is the scenario

Got everything installed, everthing seemed to be ok and then when i tried to start the xbox to test the installation i got FRAG, with mod chip off it turned on OK. so i proceed to check everysingle point i made. fix a couple and tried again, SAME THING but now it was doing it with CHIP OFF as well wtf... ok, i ****ed up and lifted a trace (Lad 2), i didnt want to screw anything else more so i took it to an electronic's place to get that fixed, guess what NOTHING, the mofo mobo now does the following:

power button, chip on, flash protection on, bank 1 = on and off twice thingy and FRAG (green, red)

eject button to power up and same as above= on and off twice thingy and FRAG (green, red) (**** i can swear it was giving me orange flashing a minute ago)

power button, flash protection OFF, bank 1= on and off twice thingy and FRAG (green, red)

eject button, flash off, bank 1= on and off twice thingy and ORANGE flashing

power button, flash on, bank 2=on and off twice thingy and ORANGE flashing

eject button, flash on, bank 2= on and off twice thingy FRAG

NOW CHIP OFF= Orange flashin!!!!!!!!!

i have research a lot in the meaning of this and all i can think is i ****ed up the board by heating it a lot, i have trace back to original points in the board all of the point i soldered, i checked with a digital mutimiter and every single one shows continuity from star to finish and none is bridged, also checked solder points to make sure they werent touching anything else and they are fine. i cant think anymore, i need to sleep and this thing is not letting me, im pulling out my hair right now. please anyone give me some light

Edit: forgot to mention my xbox version is 1.6....

Best advice for right now is to put the mod chip aside and concentrate on getting the Xbox to boot without it. In this scenario the odds are that if you can't boot the box without the chip there is no way you'll be able to boot with it. With a good light and maybe a magnifying glass go over the board and look for damage or solder splashes.

Thanx for your response.
well, i took the chip off including the lcp rebuild and cleaned everything to try to see for a splash or bridged conection= nothing, i did not see anything wrong, xbox boots up normal whoohooo, something at last. after a cleanded everythign i tried again and nothing, same thing FRAG and orange light flashing. i decided my lcp rebuild card may be the problem so i did cable rebuild, guess what, nothing, same thing, i cannot think in anything else. i been over this intallation way to many times, i check cntinuity in every point i make, and also in lines aropund to make sure i didnt brdge them. i really cannot think in anything else. i put everything aside and jst left the xbox unmoded for the moment till i can figure this out.
thanks and please give me some input.

AndreXxo, glad you got it working stock again but you're probably either bridging something, have a poor solder joint or some other connection issue. You did remove the extra pin from the pinheader for the 1.6 install, right? The rebulid board acts as a reminder to do so if you hadn't. Forgot to pull that pin on the first two 1.6's I did myself, but I knew to when I put the rebuild board on. Oops. Also, it is possible for the rebuild board to crack a trace. They're thin and flexible but too much can break it. Make sure you're getting the plugs for the external switch fully plugged in as well, one of the middle wires returns 5v back to the chip to power it. On occassion people have had problems with the switches themselves, sometimes "excercising" the enable/disable switch by moving it back and forth a number of times can clean the contacts and correct this. I can tell you that at least you've got the D0 right each time, otherwise the box wouldn't have tried to boot off the LPC. Take a breather and come back to it when you have some time to work patiently with it. Don't want to tear things up.

Ben, that's hardcore. Must have pulled some tricks to get that going again! :D

ok, I know im not an expert at this but i might be of some assistance. From the original post, with the chip off you got the orange flashing... Did you have the A/V cable plugged into the back of the box? It may seem like a stupid question but the xbox "knows" if it is connected and will tell you when it isn't. If you didnt have the cable plugged in then that is the orange flashing if you did then I don't know what the problem is. I have been having trouble getting my chip to work properly and am going to try the wires install for the 1.6 to see if that fixes it.
