2.6 CE > X3

Hiya,

I have a 2.6CE at the moment, and I am thinking of upgrading to an X3.

Two questions.

Will i need to solder anymore, or can I just straight swap the two chips.

Will the programmer for the X2 work to program the X3 ?

1. No extra soldering required - just swap the chips and switch panels. Done deal.

2. The programmer won't work with the X3. I was looking into ways, but cannot get it going. The X3 has a backup BIOS which is as good as having a programmer anyways!

Yep, just swap the chips out. There's really no need for a programmer with the X3 since it has the backup rom.
