Hey there,
Having trouble after backing up pc files to xbox 160 seagate hdd on in the box. Ive ftpped before with no problem before. This time my xbox load the Microsoft with the evox screen with the chip enabled whether bank 1 or bank 2 is selected or even if the flash protect switched is played around with but doesn't go into the dash at all. I don't think the chip is the problem. It loads my backed up burned copies of dvd-r's fine, like playboy, and tom clancy's chaos theory. It goes straight to ms dash where you can play around with settings or play music or play around with the memory. I don't know what to do. I've tried following tutorials and whatnot on how to flash the bios I don't know if I am doing something wrong. Do I need to have the flashbios program on a cd-rw/ or dvd-r with the bios and then put my box on flash protect off for it to work? I've tried loading just the bin in nero to create the iso the way you would for the regular bios file, with and without a dummy file but it doesn't work. The cd-rw/cd/dvd-r isn't recognized at all. I want my box back! Please help me out! Someone please!
