Hello, i just soldered a 2.6 to a v1.6 xbox. I used the rebuild plate and everything, solder points look good and clean. The xbox works perfect with the chip disabled, but when i enable it, it tries to turn on once(hd led on front panel flashes blue) then shuts off then turns on again(hd led flashes blue again) then shuts off then frags red/green. what we all like to see.

I tried resoldering the hd wire, but that didn't do it. THe D0 point looks like a nice solder...so i have no idea. THis is my first time soldering a chip, i've done about 15 solderless for my friends.

Any ideas? Thanks a lot.

When i switch it to bank 2, the same thing happens

I used the 1.6 bios and flashed it with the external flasher through my computer.

Do you think it's a bios issue and all solder points are fine? They do look clean and solid.

Doesn't sound like a bios problem, it sounds like your install is bad. Have you checked your soldering with a multimeter?
