2.6 Install, no A/V. Same result after complete removal.

As the title says, I just recently finished installing a 2.6 into a friend's 1.6 box (isntalled in a 1.4 case). After the install, I attempted to turn the xbox on, only to be greeted by a blank screen. I noticed when the xbox first booted up, the light ring was green for one second, switched to orange for one second, and then stayed solid green. I removed the chip, as well as the pin header and LPC rebuild pcb and still have no A/V. With the chip taken out, there is no orange flash in the ring. It stays a solid green the whole time. Here's the odd part, it does so without the DVD and HDD even installed. When I press the eject button, the ring flashes as if it's ejecting the DVD drive, but there is no DVD drive installed. The box is completely stock at this point. I've checked for any damage or splashes, and can't find a single problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Look around the video encoder for splashes or damage. Was there an attepmt to softmod this box?

No softmod attempts, I'll check the video encoder area again, but I didn't see anything the first time around.

Looked over everything again. No problems, no extra solder or solder splashes. I'm clueless. This is probably the 10th Xecuter modchip I've installed, and the first ever to give me any problems.

It is possible that you damaged the board and removed a top mount component. Look at the install guide again and compare your board to it.

I'll have to do it this afternoon when I get off of work. I was thinking maybe I removed a surface mount, but I couldn't find any sign of it. I'll take a good once or twice over on it this afternoon.

Don't see anything removed. Any links to high res pics? Also, if I leave the xbox on for about 10-20 seconds, it begins to frag. Still no picture.

I noticed the resistor R7D6 says 103 on it, but reads a little over 10k on my multimeter. Could this be the problem?

Nevermind... Managed to get it fixed. Will try a wire install this time, and I'll do my own LPC rebuild, like I did the first time around.

So what was the fix? Would you mind sharing the knowledge?
