I installed a 2.6 lite about 8 months ago for a friend, I can't remember the version of his xbox, but I wanna say it was 1.6. I'm gonna have to recheck that, but I'm not sure it matters here.
Essentially it was working just fine this entire time, but yesterday when my friend tried to turn it on, it booted up in the FlashBios 3.03 blue screen. I assumed he accidently hit the bank switch, so I had him try all combinations, and all result in the 3.03 blue screen.
So I had him bring it here to re-flash. The first time I turned on the xbox it actually booted up to Evox. I restarted, and it booted back to blue screen. Has booted to blue screen ever since.
I've tried flashing every bios I can get my hands on, including the ones for 1.6 and 1.6b etc. (m8 family, x2 5035 family and even tried to flash back to 3.01 of FlashBios) all of which install perfectly fine according to FlashBios.....but no matter what I do, it still boots up to 3.03 blue screen on banks 1 and 2.
Has the chip gone crazy/malfunctioning?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, and any more info you need to help diagnose let me know. Meanwhile I'll try to figure out again if this is 1.6 or not. I know 3.0.3 is not supposed to work on 1.6, but like I said, it goes thru all the motions and properly turns itself off...just not sticking.
