2.6 screwed need help

ok, doing a box for my father-in-law. 1.6 verison. order a 2.6ce and had to solder in, which sucked because i bought a solderless. anyway. i got the blue screen for cromwell and used my bios cd for my xbox which is a 1.0 version. bios number 4981.06. now it goes red and green (fraging i think)powering on and off on the chip, from what i've read so far, is that i'm screwed. is there anyway for me to reflash or fix without having to buy a programmer?

4981 will not work on 1.6 boxes, also you must flash with a 512k size bios

you should to get the new X2 5032 for 1.6 versions - x2_5032_v16plus_512k

if you still have flashbios on the other bank you can flash the correct bios
if both banks frag then you'll need to get a programmer or to do a hotswap with another box

i got a 1.0 version that's works. 2.3 xecuter chip can that work? where can i get a good programmer?

the 4981 bios is compatible with v1.0-1.5 not 1.6/1.6b

a good programmer can be found at any reseller of Team X
check out the homepage left side i believe for a listing of the official resellers

you may also be able to do a hotswap with the 2.3 in your 1.0 box with the 2.6 in the 1.6 box
