2.6 Solderless Bad Chip?

My freind tried to mod my xbox. He put in the Solderless Adapter and 2.6 chip. We only get one blue light and no cromwell bios. It goes to the regular boot up. He said he pulled his 2.6 chip out of his xbox and it worked. Any ideas? Xbox is version 1.0.

Sounds like a problem with the D0 or the switches.

When you refrer to the switches, what piece are you talking about? Is it on the chip, or the 3 switch bank? The bank of switches, all switch colors in each position. I know the D0 is in the correct sport and my friends chip works in my box.

The switches that come with the chip. Are you using the wires and switches that go with your chip when you use your friend's chip?

They were his wires and switches. Should I ask him if I can borrow his wires and switches to see of that works?

borrowing your friend's switches may help to see if that is the problem

also double check that the copper wire from the xapter making good contact with the D0 point
