Hi after having some issues with soldering, I finally fixed it all, and then accidently flashed with 4983 bios. Does this cause the xbox to turn on and off 3 times and blink green and red (chip flashes blue?) When I switch to bank 2 it does not flash on and off and the chip remains blue (and the xbox light is orange, but there is nothing on the screen. Does this sound normal and do I need to swap the chip in another xbox to reflash it?
2.6 v1.6a xbox wrong bios. Help please!

G'day, bank 2 is a black screen because flashbios 3.0.3 doesn't work with v1.6a's a lot of the time.
Did you use the v16 version of the bios?

I installed bios 4983 which apparantly is too old. I am hoping a hot swap is the solution, and a safe one at that. Any other thoughts anybody? Thanks, Ty

You may be able to get FlashBIOS 3.0.3 to boot - boot the Xbox using the EJECT button, and keep pressing eject each time the eject LED stops flashing. Persevere, but it does work.

im a dumbass, i flashed a 2.6ce with a x3 1mb bios, total f**kup. I have a x3 in one xbox and a 2,6 in the other. Is it possible to do a hotswap of some sort, and are there any hot swap tutorials. No idea how they work

after reading up on hot swapping, is it possible to use avalaunch to flash the chip or is evo the only dash taht can do this?

The best way to flash via hotswapping is to boot to FlashBIOS.
