2.6 w/ 1.6b problem

2.6 w/ 1.6b problem green then solid red

after installing mod chip, im getting the green then solid red after booting with the mod chip on. the flashbios doesnt not load, and im getting no video. the dvd drive doesnt even open.

however, with the modchip off, i am able to boot into the MS dashboard. anyone know what the problem is?

[font=verdana, arial, helvetica]Good news is that since you are getting a FRAG (Flashing Red And Green) when the chip is enabled you at least have good contact on D0. [/font][font=verdana, arial, helvetica]Check over your install again, and make sure your soldering is good, there is probably one point that is does not have a solid connection

also double check that the external switches are connected properly[/font]

actually its turns on green then to solid red. anyone know what the problem is?

solid red = overheated/hardware failure

as for why it's doing this only with the mod enabled I don't know

Are you using the standard video cables?

It isn't overheating, that is a flashing orange light.

ORANGE Flashing:
This may also be down to a solder splash on the board or a damaged track. May also be due overheating

SOLID RED:
System overheated , hardware failure , ...
