I have a 1.0 xbox with a solder-filled LPC, so I tried the wire install...
I have successfully soldered all of the wires (except the d0) to the LPC...
So, why when I plug the chip in does the LED not come on? Which wire is responsible for the LED? Until now I have only done solderless installs, but I gave up when I couldnt get this ridiculous Universal Solderless Adapeter to work. It's also my first time with a 2.6CE
I miss my solderless chips... they have LEDs that indicate if I have strong connections... this thing wont even give me any signs of life.
Will someone please let me know what I did wrong... as far as I can tell, everything is great. Using the diagram I soldered all of the various wires to its corresponding hole... I had a horrible time with the Brown wire though. I think it's in there pretty well now though. Help?
