This mod is more trouble then its worth. I have a 2.6ce chip installed and I programmed it myself with the tutorial here. http://www.teamxecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24542
I used everything it told me.....i put the xecutor flash bios v301 on the top two and the evox m8 on the bottom. i used both of the 512k versions because i have a xbox ver 1.3. it flashed fine and looked like it was ready to go. i hooked it all back up and i cant seem to play hacked games or access the dashboard which i think i installed. i burned an iso file of a game with nero onto a dvd and then attempted to play it. the disc cannot be read. when i load the xbox it gives me the EVO X in the left corner and then it goes right to the default xbox settings screen as if no chip was in at all. i read somewhere it was supposed to boot up a dashboard, but no such luck. to flash the chip i used a program called x2bm just like it said. i need help with this because ive been struggling with what to do next for a few days now.......PLEASE HELP>.....anything would be appreciated....Thanx.

My suggestions, use an Xecutor bios if at all possible... which it would be seeing as your Xbox version is 1.3 ...hmmm.... Evox m8 doesn't sound right there at all btw.
Check again to make sure everything is soldered into the correct place and done properly.... use Slayer's 2.6 autoinstaller to get your dash / apps setup running properly. .....Evox m8 on a V1.3 Xbox, im skeptical!

yeah im really not sure. it says the m8 ver can be used for the 1.1 to 1.5 and it will work just fine. if something was soldered incorrectly....would i even be able to get the screen that im at?> im pretty sure its all right, unless something fell off. I tried using the executor 5032 vold, but it didnt work for some reason when i flashed using ixia. i couldnt use the x2bm because the 5032 isnt able to split into two files. im really at a loss.....if someone thinks it could be a solder point, then ill take it up and look, but i thought if it worked and the evo x logo came on it was on the right track...thanx......

There are multiple versions of M8. One for < 1.6, and one for 1.6.

There is no need to split 5032, it is already a 512k bios. Just flash with that and you will be fine.

How did you install your dashboard? How did you burn your "backup"?

i tried installing the bios and it didnt work....when i plugged it in, the xbox fragged with the chip. do i need to flash the bios on the top half and something else on the bottom half when using ixia? the dashboard....well, i really havent figured out how to get to it, to be honest. maybe thats my problem....maybe i just flashed bios and never installed the dashboard at all. is there a different method to put the dashboard onto the xbox? i use newsgroups to aquire stuff and pretty much i got the rars and unrared to find a single iso image as the outcome. it was about 3gig give or take? i used nero to burn and did the basic burn image command for nero......im not sure if there was an additional file i needed to add to the burn or extract the files from the iso or what? maybe i need to read more...thanks. oh and to all who are star wars fans....just got back from the movie....pretty kick ass.

before you try to burn and play backups you need to get a proper bios and a dash if you'd like one

as said before get the X2 5032 vOld version, patch it with the lba48 setttings you want and flash it to your chip, put the ini file on the F or E drive

you need to make a boot disc of the dash you'd like to use and that has ftp support
make an iso of it, burn it using nero and boot it up on your box
transfer the dash files over to a drive and configure your bios ini file to boot the dash

I'll give you a hint how to get it working...

QUIT BEING SUCH A CHEAP ASS AND BUY THE GAMES. There, now you are all set.

This board does not support piracy. If you like the game, buy it. It is that simple. Have mommy and daddy take you to the store and give you some money so you can buy a new game. Maybe if you are real good and ask nicely they will let you buy two.
