2.6ce flashbios 3.01?

trying to flash my chip with evox m8. have a 1.6 xbox. chip is successfully installed and flash bios loads up. tried flashing both .0.1 .0.3... keep getting the Unknown flash! Halting error.

I turned off the flash protect and this did not fix the issue.

regardless of flash protect on or off I get this msg when the xbox boots: read only manf 0x09 dev-0x00.

dont use m8 bios use the bios that the best for x2 chips
x2 5035 v16 plus

Be sure you download X2 5035 from Xbins. Also, you may want to test your flash protect switch with a multimeter to make sure it is working properly.

punch the error code into Google. You'll find some explanations to the error code. I hope that you'll be able to fix the problem and if you do, do come back and post your findings.

did you turn off both flash protect one on chip and one on switch

checked in googled and xbox scene and not much luck there either... still on the look out though. some hits on google mentioned a bad solder job, but again, nothing confirmed.

x2 chip doesn't have a on chip flash protect. double checked the chip too so unless I missed something ON the chip?

I saw a similiar thread to this in the x3 thread and my x3 threw this once or twice, but I flipped the switches and that seemed to solve it, but different chip...

oh yeah and the x3 of mine is on a 1.4 box not a 1.6 like the x2

No, the flash protect is on the switches for an X2. You must have the switches plugged in for the chip to work.
