2.6ce on 1.6 xbox HELP!!!

hi installed a 2.6ce on a 1.6 xbox
seems like its done properly
when chip is turned off, xbox runs as normal
when chip is turned on, it turns itself off 3 times, then the eject button flashes RED/GREEN
what have i done wrong???

im having the exact same problem you are!
im hoping its cause the bios is blank and we need to boot with an autoinstaller or bios disk of some kind? anyone care to help us.

Same deal here,and I'm using a 2.6.I've checked all my connections and checked with a multimeter as well.I'm getting 3.3v on all 4 LAD's on the Pin header so its not the LPC rebuild and the other pins checkout as well.With the chip disabled it works fine,when chip is enabled I get the FRAG and blank screen on banks 1 and 2.My chip was supposed to be flashed with the latest FlashBios supporting the 1.6/1.6b.

i meant to add. i got an old modded xbox fine.. but this one is a brand new 1.6b i think (build date of after 10./2004.. got the magnifyng glass out and all solder points look perfect.. so i dunno what the dealio is.

Why not use the LPC rebuild board? Did anyone check their switches with Whoopin's diagram?

Tried that, same problem on 2 different 1.6 Xbox's.I removed the LPC PCB on one and wired the LPC rebuild and still the same problem.With the chip disabled everything works fine.With the chip enabled it FRAGS and blank screen.Switches are fine as well.
I've ordered a 2.6 Programmer to flash the chip,see if that cures the problem since it won't boot from banks 1 or 2 .
I really don't want to tear into my 1.0 Xbox just to test this chip since I have the Xtender kit installed and 3 HD's and thats a lot to remove just to check to see if this chip has been flashed at all.

would i be better off putting this chip into my modded 1.4box and flashing on it? coz it boots to the flash screen on my 1.4 but not on the 1.6?
will this solve anything you think?
what bios should i use and how do i use it? id like to do it off a dvd

You should use 5035. Just make sure to use the file that says v16 in it. Did you try the other bank in your 1.6 box? There are two different versions of flashbios on the chip. Bank 1 (Flashbios 3.01) works for 1.0-1.6, and bank 2 has 3.03 that works for a 1.6b. As I suggested before, I would check your switches with a multimeter.

Yep,sure did.
That's why I believe the chip hasn't been flashed or has the wrong flashbios.I ordered the chip from Modchip.ca and I have had a couple of problems with defective products from them.

ok i got the x2_5035 v1.6 bios in bin file format
please explain how do i get onto a blank dvd so i can chip and put the disc in to flash
just burn the bin to disc?
