2.6CE on a 1.6

I'm trying to install a 2.6ce on my 1.6 xbox, but it's not working. At first it would frag with the modchip on, both banks, but it worked with the modchip disabled. I figured it was probably a soldering problem, so I completely redid the pcb rebuild part. This time it frags with the modchip disabled as well as enabled. Can anyone help?

remove the chip from your box and clean up any excess solder

get your box working back to its original state and then attempt a fresh install once you have your box working back to normal

Thanks for the help. I took the chip off and managed to desolder the pcb and the pinheader. I left the red 5v wire and the lan and hd led wires. Unfortunately, it still won't work at all.

Look around the board for solder splashes. If it is still FRAGing without the chip installed there is probably a bit of solder bridging a couple of points that shouldn't be. Also, check for damaged traces. Too much heat can burn up the fine trace lines on the board.
