Okay,
Just recieved my Solderless combo today. Came with the 2.6ce, solderless adapter & programmer.

Hooked up the 2.6ce w/ switches up to the programmer and flashed the 5035 old bios on fine (as I have a 1.4 XBOX). Put Flash Bios 3.03 in banks 1/2 and 3/4 put 5035.

Followed the xapter install guide exactly as shown. Hooked up the adapter and put in the 2.6ce chip, powered on and it boots to the XBOX dash and the light on the chip is on.

Included the D0 pin and now when I hit the power on it flashes green then powers off, then green again, then powers off, then red/green constant flash.

If I disable the chip via the switch it boots to the XBOX dash fine.
If I remove the D0 point it boots to the dash fine.

I reseated the adapter numerous times w/ no result.

Any thoughts?

Another weird issue.

I used the XBOX-SCENE guide to determine which version of the XBOX I had. It came back w/ 1.4. The markings on the board itself match the image for the 1.2-1.5 pictures of the D0 point... as shown below. But there's a major issue! (see below picture, just wanted you to see my reference image)

The holes on the motherboard match up perfect with the image... except NONE OF THEM ARE HOLES! They're all apparently filled in, or never pressed through because I cant get the D0 wire to fit in the image point listed! I thought I had the d0 wire but apparently it was in the wrong place if thats the one I should be looking for.

Below is an actual picture of my board. As you can see by my CRUDELY ( :) ) edited image that the D0 point mentioned in the actual reference image is the same, but on my board its not an actual hole!

Help!!!

you have a hole it is just filled with laquer - this protects the traces. some xbox versions have more than others causeing problems.

There are a number of things y9ou can try, such as fibre glass pencil, to try to remove some of this coating... but be careful not to rub too hard and damage a trace.

I have known some people to use a rubber/eraser tip from a pencil.

Not sure if rubbing alcohol will work, or if it will damage your mobo - someone may be able to advise more on that.
