2.6CE Solderless - No LEDs on install

Having troubles installing my 2.6CE Solderless. Installed 2.3b (Plus I think) Solderless previously on a different XBox without too many problems, so I'm not completely new to this.

XBox is either 1.2 or 1.3 (Con video chip, double row on the power connector). When I seat the adapter and chip and hit the power, I get no LEDs to turn on. I've followed the helpful Xapter guide (http://www.teamxecuter.com/xapter/), but still no love. I did a bit of searching on the forum, but haven't found anyone with this same problem.

Any ideas?

make sure you're aligning the chip correctly onto the xapter pins
and that you are using the correct D0 point, also the copper wire must firmly be in there

what if it doesnt seem the D0 wire will go in? I push on it and the wire just bends. I figure thats why my x2.6ce lights up and everything but I just get the flubber screen (no cromwell comes up)

anybody got any tips

you've got to apply more pressure when placing the copper into the point, but not too much, as it says in the tutorial you will hear a 'clicking' sound and that will indicate it has gone in enough, so that it won't slip out easily
remember, just enough applied pressure to click in, don't force it or it will break

I have this problem also but my D0 wire is put in I know this because I can put a working spider chip in and all is well but put the 2.6 in and its like no chip is present it boots flubber just like retail

check to make sure that your switches are connected properly
