I installed X3 mod on 1.4 machine OK Flashed OK then FRAG

I installed second mod on another 1.4 machine with another kit. Flashed OK then FRAG

I have read the Forums and re checked the soldering

Present position on both machines:
Both 5v and 3v LEDs OK
Machines boot both the backup bios and the MS bios OK

Could anyone suggest my next move please

I forgot to say that when I flashed the bios both times, the external switches were all off

I have now got one working.

I found the version of Nero as used in tutorial and made fresh disc.

Re flashed the bios and it now works OK

Still working on the other one

JungleFlasher not finding my dvd

Alright so here are the steps ive taken so far and reading through the instructions and everything, now im just lost.

First off i have a Hitachi 47 dvd drive im trying to flash with a USB to SATA/IDE cable. I'm doing this from a laptop running windows vista.

1. Installed Jungle Flasher
2.Installed the portIO32
3.Found the Jungle USB Driver (installed that on my "Mass Storage device")
4. I disabled the Driver Signature enforcement

Now when i open up my list of hardware items and go to my cd/dvd drives i still only have my regular laptop cd/dvd drive. But when i go to disc drives i find a "Hitachi HTS541612J9SA00 ATA Device"

Is this my xbox dvd drive?

Now my problem is i open up Jungle flasher and follow the instructions of going tothe hitachi dvd section and clicking the USBmodeB button, and jungle finds nothing except my regular laptop dvd/cd drive.

Anybody know what the problem might be? Besides the user.... (me)

USModeB only works with USB>Sata Bridge adapters, the 3 in 1 adapters will not work, this is stated in the JungleFlasher Userguide
