ok.... what cable do i need to hook up the xbox 360 drive to the sata chipset on my MB (a link and a pic would be nice). Second.... how do i find out what chipset i have on my MB. i've tried soo hard to find out. i even went to my MB website to find out... nothing... thanks MSI.

u will need a 2 foot sata cable to make it easy but you can use any size over 9 inches.
Finding your chipset can be found many ways. 2 ways I use is looking at the Manual for the motherboard and actually looking on the board. I dont use device manage cause the drivers tend to be wrong or misleading since it can use generic drivers to run hardware.

i don't have the manual for the MB...... where would i look on the MB for the brand of chipset? thanks for the pic of the sata cable... where's a good place to pick one up other than the internet?
Open up the PC and look around the SATA controllers for a Chip and look up the text on the chip closest to the sata controller & you should know what kind it is... Or run Belarc... which is a free tool but like abeerdrinker said.... PC apps / Device manager lookup may not be 100% correct since drivers do mislead these things sometimes...
pk... found out that i have a ATI ® SB400 Chipset. googled it and found nothing about using this chipset to flash.
