2 questions

1) the xbox password option on your X3 chip. what exactly is that. when does it prompt for a password. is it only when you turn it on to the enabled mode...or is it used in the disabled also?

2) Is a person able to switch the quick power button press to disabled mode instead of enabled by maybe a program installed or a few wires switched. I would rather have to hold the button for a few seconds and have it boot to the enabled mod chip than to the green ms logo.

If my memory serves me correctly... the password is to lock out your xbox to other people accessing it without you there....so therefore would prompt you upon startup with the chip enabled... I think thats right....

Yeah for the password one, you only get the prompt for the pass when the chip is on cos when its off the chip is off and hence wont load the X3 bios.

ok question about a 7 series lite-on

ok i am about to try to flash a 7 series lite on i got the vampire probe/spear to dump the key but whenever i try to dump it i get Serial Data is bad dvdkey file extraction aborted got it hooked up through via card and maxius pro power unit and vampire spear the other wierd thing is the probe is showing in jungle flasher under com4 but it won't let me click the USB Extractor Switch option but it will let me select dummy bin
any clue i am lost call me a noob if you want but its my first lite-on and i have read and done everything to a T in jungle flasher tutorial but all i get is the bad data when i try to dump the key

tthat happen to me make sure your tray is half way out

also make sure the correct com port is selected for the probe
usually com port 3
