Should I be using
C4EVA_XTRM-HITACHI_v2_4_Stealth
Or
Xtreme_Hitachi_1.2_rev2
To flash my Hitachi drive?

Also my eject button is broken, so I have no way of open the drive to get it into mode B.
Is there another way I can do it, or is there a way I can use a screw driver or something to push the eject button??

Thank you.

how did you manage too break the eject button lol, but yeah when you open the console you'll see how the eject button works and should be able to open it with a pin or small screw driver and the firmware the ixstream is the only firmware to play onlive safely at the mo but it will not play back ups that are not properly stealthed , where as c4eva 2.4 will but its not safe onlive

I'm unable to get find the eject button.
I've tried the Linux method and I've been unsuccessful.

Can someone circle it on this image please?

Thanks!
I've finally got it into Mode B, but I have another question.
Since this is a replacement drive, how can I flash it with my original drive key?

I think I figured out how to do it using 360FW Toolbox, the only problem is now that it is in mode B it wants to always stay open, and the toolbox wants a disc in it for it to work!

I done it with Flashsec_win and 360 toolbox.

i put the following steps together for anyone else who may need this information one day sorry if its not very clear feel free to email me if anyone needs me to clarify any of it.

(1) Make a backup of the bios from the drive you want to change the key on.

(2) Open the backup bios with 360 Firmware Toolbox

(3) Paste the key you want to change to in the KEY part of 360 Firmware Toolbox and click Replace key button then click the Encrypt Button
360 Firmware Toolbox will then save your orig.bin file in the same folder as your original backup bios but names Orig_e.bin close the toolbox software.

(4) now rename orig_e.bin to encrypted_fw.bin

(5) Place encrypted_fw.bin and Flashsec_win.exe in C:/

(6) open cmd prompt cd to C:\ and run the following command: flashsec_win f encrypted_fw.bin 90004000 1000 . if your drive is not f in my computer change f to whatever your hitachi drive letter is in my computer.

(7) the process takes just half a second to complete now just turn off your pc plug the new hitachi 46d drive in to your xbox 360 and it will now have the matching key to work in your xbox.

i got the information from many chopped up forum posts and from http://www.kev.nu/360/dvdshort.html

Thank you to the guys who wrote Flashsec and 360 toolbox and Kev of http://www.kev.nu
without your tools and information i would have lost £200 of my hard earned money.

hope this comes of some help to others one day.

Stanneh.

hope that helps you out mate

Dammit, I think it bricked.
I can't get it into mode B anymore, and I won't open.
Do I have any options other then buying a new one?

If you dont have your drive key you'll be buying a new 360. If you have your key then your safe from that option. If i were you i would buy another toshiba drive if you have to get a new one.

I have the drive key.
But I just bought this one, so I don't really feel like buying another one. Oh well... I guess no more Xbox for a while.
