2 red lights

Well at first my problem started off with the ring of death (3 flashing red lights). So what i did was disassembled my system and then took out the heatsinks from my GPU and CPU. i scraped off what is left from my CPU and GPU and then added arctic silver. After i was done with that, i assembled everything back together. When i started the system now it starts to flash 2 red lights. Is there anybody out there that can help me with my situation?

2 red lights: overheat
3 rd lights: hardware failure, usually caused by overheat.

So basically the same.
