2 screwed up dvd burners

Alright Im not sure if i should be postn here but i read the guide lines. No warez talk and wut not yes i know that this isnt what im gona be talking about.

Alright on my first burner 111D *forgot maker wink.gif* basically on 2.4X with img burn or clone cd it just fails always like it can be from 4% to 60% its just always fails now. Is the burner basically dead? Is there a test I can run with nero or something to see if theres a software issue?

Next is my laptop. its a Asus G2S-A1 idk the model of the dvd drive, but now after i reformatted it with vista *it was vista b4* it will like refuse to burn duel layers. Like With img burn as soon as it trys to burn to the second layer it stops and says error. Clone cd says cant find split or something b4 it even starts to burn. *yes both iso and .dvd file are in there. Ive wasted about 8 Verb duel layers on this. I cant figure out whats wrong. Any advice?

if im posting in the wrong area can you just move this thread instead of closing it please smile.gif Im prety sure this is the right area though.

PS: laptop used to burn just fine just took about 50min per

open the dvd file and make sure the layer break is in it.i think it should 1913760(i think).if it is then try to redue the drivers in your dvd burner.my laptop with vista burns great with img burn and clonecd.
