200Gb hard drive problem

Well... im new to this forum so can someone please help.

This is my problem, i have just updated my xbox chip to a X2.6, which i must say works fine with the old hard drive that i have been using for a while.

Then i have an 200gb hard drive that i bought fully loaded with apps game etc, when i put this into the xbox i get an error code 7 and nothing happens.

I have the latest bios.

please help, been pulling hair out all day.

Check the IDE cable, power cable and jumper settings.

hard drive problem

I have tryed all the cables etc, if i put in the other 8gb hard drive with it works fine, could it be a hard drive fault

Set it to cable select.

Sometimes Xbox's are picky about cable select being the jumper setting.
