are they formatted to fat32 / fat before plugging them into the xbox to format?
why would i need to format it to fat32 when it was detected on a xenon jtag and formatted as i always do.

problem is the slim is not detecting it ive rebooted ran inital setup the only thing is 1 out of about 15 reboots it showed a spinning loading sign in storage instead of saying no devices detected...

im going to try to compile and flash a fresh image of ggbuild hopefully i see some changes

i have hookedthe hdd to a external power source and connected a sata cable from hdd to console ..... it detects the hdd BUT... something very strange.... happens the video displays horizontal fuzzy lines when hdd is connected THIS way.

if i remove it or connect it via genuine xbox adapter it will not detect it BUT the flickering lines are gone..

also is not detecting my genuine 20gb hdd now either.... could it be a faulty cable? this is a bummer
