2914 Freezes on Boot !

Hi ppl,

I've FINALLY managed to get a bios to successfully flash to my x3, (having just spent 3 days sorting out my xbox's coma!) ... but when it boots, i get the flubber, then the xbox logo with the rox my box logo, and it just sits there ??!

How can i get it to boot into config live ... i've tried the whie button on boot, and nothing

You did use the right version BIOS for the 1.6, didn't you?

But thank you for replying anyway, i've actually posted 3 or 4 different threads about various things over the last few days, and you are the first person to respond to any of them ... have the mods lost interest in the forums ??

where did you get the bios from ? have you tried a different bios ?

got the bios from the usual place ....

i also tried an old 1959_v16plus bios that i had, but that wouldn't take either.

I've tried 2 different x3 mods, tried hot-swapping (which incidentally gives the most reliable flashing results!!??), but the only bios i can get to work is the evox m8+ (eugh!!, but it works !!)

It's ironic that i cant get a 'x' bios to work on an x3 !!

almost a simular problem here. I have installed the Xecuter 3 CE chip on my xbox v1.5 after that i flashed the bios version x3 3029 via http. Then i turned on my xbox and it wont go further then the xbox xecuter rox my box logo.

I tried some other bios versions but it still hangs on the rox my box logo.
I also checked al the solder points iam almost 99 % sure that they are ok.

i hope you guys have some idea`s to help me out.

thnx for the support guys but ive figured it out all ready, ive tested another xecuter 3 chip from a friend, this one worked perfect ! conclusion: a broken chip!

hi mine did this for a while so i flashed an older bios and connected by ftp and removed lots of crap files from the C and E drives and the x3 skins folder and then flashed the new bios and everything is ok

dont try cd flash its a pain in the arse. http all the time for me now
