I will be installing an X3 tonight just wanted to check if all problems had been ironed out with 2914 or should I stick to the proven earlier bios.

Thanks

from what I understand, 2914 still has few bugs to iron out. IMHO, if I was going to install it for someone else, I would install something that is already proven stable. If I was installing it for myself, I wouldn't mind playing with a new toy.

I had a thought just after I posted, I will install both new and old bios on the X3 and let the customer try, he says he will later install a hd.

Thanks for your reply.

I'd install the 2914 and the previous 1957 BIOS. If you can hang back until the weekend (?) a bug fix update is rumoured to be coming out. 1957 is probably the most stabel release - but te 2xxx series versions are just too damn cool to pass up :D

not a reseller just installing the chip for somebody I know but I can't be doing with solving other peoples problems so just want a nice stable bios.
I installed 2914 in banks 1234 and 1959 in banks 5678
