bought a jasper big block off ebay with christmas lights, the guy included a 2mb dump of his nand from before he'd messed it up (no idea if it's right but need to start somewhere).

just been googling trying to find a way to create a ecc image from the 2mb dump to get xell to boot to get the cpu key with a coolrunner installed but no luck

whats the method to create the ecc and a donor nand if possible from a 2mb dump

You could send it to me and I'll see if I can get it working.
i'll see how this goes first if not i'll pm you can't send it till monday anyway

how about the reluctant jasper from my other thread teajunkie seems to think it's a messed up cpu, but got a coolrunner on it and it glitches to xell but no dash

Ah, that one. Reckon it'll be worth reflowing the CPU and GPU.
cheaper to scrap it and buy another then :p

is extracting the kv and config blocks the same for a big block

kv 1 1 from nand file
config block 3de 2 from nand file

tingedace - I tried that with a Trinity and it would not glitch with a donor kv ?
It does work, I've done it quite a few times with Trinitys and Falcons and just verified it there just now flashing a 512MB jasper ecc to my 256MB jasper.

I've sent you a trinity ecc if you want to try it out :)

I certainly didn't doubt it - I just didn't have any luck when I tried it :)

So if this is the case, there's absolutely no need to be generating ECC files? We can just have a stock list for each console type, yes?

I believe so. Other than I quite like to have the fuses.txt (including DVD key) stored off as part of the process.
