I just finished setting up 5 XBOXs w/ X3 chips.

2x 1.2-1.3 = OK
1x 1.4 = OK
2x 1.6 = NOT OK

On the 1.6 boxes I followed the install instructions verbatim.

1) The box boots into the FlashBios 3.0.0 no problem (initially)
2) Loading the X3 BIOS build 1957 also went fine
3) After rebooting the LED goes blue and then reboots after 1.5 seconds (and gets stuck in a loop doing this)
4) If I try to boot to the backup BIOS (FlashBios) this works fine

The other 3 boxes worked fine, I don't see what I could be doing wrong?

After reading some other posts I decided to try swapping X3 chips from my working boxes to the 1.6 Boxes.

1.6 X3 -> 1.2-1.3: It booted to the flashbios screen as if I hadn't even loaded the 1957 Build wasn't even there. However, after flashing it again it worked. Oddly enough, I can now boot from banks 1-4 or 5-8 and get the 1957 Build?

1.2-1.3 X3 -> 1.6: Even though I have the same dip switch settings as the original 1.2-1.3 box, it booted up to the flashbios screen which was confusing. So then I switched to to dip switches to "off on off..." and the same problems happened again. The blue LED comes on but then it reboots and repeats.

There is definately something wrong w/ the X3 1957 Bios on both of my 1.6 boxes.

1) It is not the chip (I swapped them)
2) It is not the flashing of the BIOS (the X3 I flashed with the 1.6 Box works on the 1.2-1.3 box).

Guess I was right, it was the BIOS

After loading in "X3 1957 v16.bin" instead of "X3 1957.bin" it worked.

360 Backups all playing in 16:9 format...

All of my Xbox backups so far are all playing widescreen (16:9 ratio, with bars above and below) , on a non-widescreen television. This is only an issue with the backups as the originals are all playing at 4:3 as they should and are taking up the entire screen.

I have checked my screen settings, and have looked on the forums but no one else seems to have the same problem. I am using abgx360 to check the image, and iBurn360 to burn them, (I am on a Mac, so no real alternative)... abgx360 shouldn't actually alter the aspect ratio, should it? In iBurn there is no option to control aspect ratio, so I am asuming that it isn't that either.

Any suggestions? The widescreen on a small 4:3 Television is making some of the text unreadable, and honestly is bugging the hell out of me...

(Just in case, as i have a feeling someone will,: No I haven't nor can I try to play the 360 on a widescreen tv...)
