ANSWERED 3.0 flashed, new hard drive, LIVE asks to update?

Hi all,

I'm pretty new to this flashing scene. I flashed my BenQ to LT+ 3.0 already, however the box is now going to my girlfriend's brother. When he put his hard drive on the system, it asks to update when connecting to LIVE. Should I download the update or do I really need to flash to stock, download the update, then flash to LT+ 3.0 again?

which dash is the console on for starters...it might be just the avatar (or kinect - if connected )update

should be ok then.. ( since 14699 is the latest dash)
would be either the avatar update, kinect update or a game update, which is safe to take
