JTAG 3.5 HDD Power on Slim

Can some one point me where to get power to power up 3.5 HDD on slim?

I try to use regular power cord from internal drive but it looks not enough... it starts with E68 error... THX!

its not enough! you will need to find a suitable 12v source ffrom the main board (use multimeter) cut the yellow wire going into Hard drive and join with the 12v source.

been looking into this myself for a Phat360 but think im gonna go down the Esata enclosure root and use external power source. just double checking that its possible.

you need to do a SATA mod to your mobo to do it

Thx All!!! done it!!! took 12v from fan and 5v from 2.5 hdd power....

Confirmed I now have a 3.5 inch in my slim and it fits just fine, used the 12v and the 5 from the power cable for the dvd drive and used the top of the av port for a ground just like the coolrunner, thanks team x, and dark fiber!
