3 light error

Is it possible to get this when doing a flash? ive just flashed a Hitachi v47DJ. I never tested the xbox out before hand but I flashed it with the "Maximus-Garyopa_XTRM-HITACHI_v2_3_Stealth_Rev2" firmware and now it appears to be doing this all the time. I cant get it back into mode b using the slax disk.

I flashed the firmware, put in a backup disk and it distorted the intro video, i sync'd my controller and have these lights ever since. its the 3 lights with the top right one off, rest flashing.

got the error code 0020

thats a general hardware failure not a problem with the dvd drive. I had the same problem and it was my GPU

USE google you can use the "heat gun method" to try and fix this

I used the towel method to fix it and it worked, dunno if its temp or not mind.

the towel trick lol i have heard it can work but it's not really a fix.
expect your 360 to get the red lights again.

Ive read about the heat gun method and sometimes that only lasts a week too. I dont have a heatgun or I'd do that method, maybe I'll go out and rent one if worse comes to worse.

It depends on what condition the board is in to begin with. Caster420 got the three red lights, did the heat gun and it has worked for 80 hours for him - hasn't come back. My friend got GPU errors, not three red lights, it was just no video. I did the heat gun and thermal paste on the GPU and CPU and it was working fine again. Three days later, no more video again and it was now red-lighting also.

So, for some it works, some it doesn't.

what happens if you just send it into xbox? im tempted to do that cause i have the same problem, i just keep using the towel method

Send it in at your own risk. Realize that your 360 has been opened and your drive is modded.

I have used the heat gun method once and it has worked since. Others had had mixed success. It is a temporary fix - how long it stays that way, is another question.

but if you send it in, and see that its been messed with, will the keep the xbox? or do they send it back to you lol

Listen guys. 360mods.net is not going to promote sending in consoles that have been opened and modified. That is a violation of ms's terms and we will not support it here. Do what you want to do, take the risk if you want to take it but dont discuss ways to get around their system on these forums.
