3 Questions unable to find in search

I want to know the diff feature and capabilities wise of 2.6ce and 3.0 modchips are.

2. what is this x3 control panel. how does it differ from the pro switch.

3. main page mentions xapt3r in stock, but the 1.6 prototype will be released soon. what is the diff? i have the ver 1.6 xbox.

1- x3 is more enriched with bios features than the 2.6ce
2- the x3cp has the pro switch and lcd on it and replaces the stock m$ front panel
3- the xapt3r for the 1.6 has different pins and the d0 is different ( i think)

What he said plus
1.6 boxes require an LPC rebuild. The 1.6 version of the xapt3r will be require no soldering to get the chip up and running you will still have to solder the hardrive and LAN lights if you want them

oh the xapt3r is the soderless adapter. i thought it was the easier to soder 1.6 plate for the backside of the box.

what would that soder plate be called and is it out for the 1.6? i don't mind the minor soddering that it required but am hesitent to run wires and sodder them.

The LPC rebuild comes with the chip, so there you go. I personally havent done it(1.0 box) but I have heard its easy, and as you can see if theres a problem we're here to help

About Hitachi f/w

I've noticed that since LT has become available, the Hitachi drive is the only drive that hasn't been updated.

Is there a reason for this? I saw someone state on this forum that they didnt think an update for Hitachi drives will ever come out.

Guess I'm just curious as to why, especially since i have a Hitachi

Honestly i am surprised they released a Samsung LT, the reason for this is because Only old xbox have Hit and Sung drives.. The newer later console are only Benq and Liteon, theres afew later samsung, "most prob reason for Sung LT" but Hit drives are older..
I have afew Hit drives my self, But i use Xbox to flash these so LT be useless to me ) I so need a CK3 kit soon lol..

i thought hitachis somehow read over the partition areas and didnt need to be patched.

I have a hitachi on 1.51 i beleive and it seems to play all my backups fine. I played my backup of alan wake on it okay.

obviously you don't understand the point of LT firmware

well I know the point of the firmware was for those who play online to "feel" safer.
But i thought it was also to play the wave # games that wouldnt play on earlier firmwares.

there is no "feel" about it

it was made to BE safe

while they cannot guarantee anything, we can hope it is safe

ixtreme 1.51 was originally made to play all waves, however, due to some flaw in the coding, only hitachi 1.51 will play all waves

hitachi firmware is the most rediculous to code, so that is why they haven't made LT for it yet, and might not ever do it

my hitachi si banned and i dont plan to repay for LIVE when i have psn now for free. So as long as my hitachi continues to play my backups im good.

to wrap things up

1)Hitachi firmware is the most tedious to make
2)We can only hope that LT is safe
3)Hitachi 1.51 will play all waves of games
